The laboratory is regularly conducting training programmes for Police and Judicial officers in the aspect of Forensic Science. The laboratory is also imparting regular training to Police Officers on Anti Drug Trafficking.

Forensic Science Awareness Week was celebrated for a week starting from 31 st December 2006 to 6 th January 2007 with programs like Exhibition, Quiz, Phone-in-programme in All India Radio etc.

During the year under review, this Directorate had staff strength of 82 numbers of technical categories of which 23 belongs to gazetted cadre ranking from Director to Scientific Officer, 59 nos. belonging to non-Gazetted cadre and 35 numbers belonging to non-technical categories.
